Poison the Well's return to the stage after a two-year hiatus was nothing short of triumphant. The Nile Theater in Mesa, Arizona, hosted the opening night of their 25th-anniversary tour for The Opposite of December... A Season of Separation, marking the band's first tour in 15 years.
In a nod to the past, the show was the only one on the tour without a barricade, allowing fans to
experience the raw energy of the performance up close.

The evening kicked off with Better Lovers (gallery), featuring members from Every Time I Die and The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Their set was a relentless barrage of sound, with front man Greg Puciato engaging directly with the crowd, creating an intimate yet intense atmosphere.
When Poison the Well took the stage, the connection with the audience was palpable.
Performing The Opposite of December in its entirety, the band delivered each track with
precision and passion, evoking memories of their early 2000s performances. The absence of a barricade allowed for a visceral experience, with fans moshing and singing along, blurring the lines between performer and audience.
After what felt like a century hiatus, this was a performance that was worth the wait.
