Dayseeker Released Their New Eerie Single “Creature In The Black Night” & Announced New Album

Dayseeker are coming out of the shadows and announced their new album Creature In The Black Night releasing October 24th and I am just as excited as you are! The anticipation for new music from the band was intense. After the successful run Dayseeker had with their album Dark Sun, the band was ready to entire their next era.

Their new single, “Creature In The Black Night”, is continuing the eerie yet sultry sound that we got from their single “Pale Moonlight”. For my book readers, this is definitely a song you need to add to your spicy book playlist. With lines like “Fuck me in your dreams like you can’t escape it// I can make a scene when I feel degraded” and “You can taste the poison with your swollen tongue// Bite your neck, I want it bad” like how can you not imagine a handsome, sexy vampire man from your dark romance book enticing you to a night blood letting and spicy fun. See the picture? Great, let that thought sink in for a moment.

The music throughout the entire song is very sensual, very spooky to give that dream-like mood as if someone is compelling you to them, enticing you to the shadows. Rory's voice keeps steady and angelic with the music adding to the illusion. As you listen further, the tempo of the guitars, bass and drums slow down and then stop creating that perfect pause for that breakdown and create a more upbeat tempo for the rest of the song. It’s like that moment where the main protagonist is about to experience that jolt of ecstasy from the best night of their life and they sink down in the bad embracing that moment of true bliss. Adding the screams and that blegh into the bridge was just a perfect way to add some depth to the song, creating that instant of acceptance of the dark thoughts you just experienced. Overall the song is such a mood-setter for what the rest of the album is going to be.

Dayseeker also released the accompanying music video for the song. Directed by Orie McGinness, it’s visually so enticing and moody it's like a scene from a movie. With the red lights setting the dark mood to the lead actress portraying the “Creature” that is enticing Rory to the dark side, and having the reaper motifs portray the dark thoughts of the subconscious mind, creates the perfect visuals for the song.

October can’t come soon enough! Dayseeker are changing the dynamics of the metal scene with their raw emotions and beautiful imagery, this band is getting bigger and better.
