Dayseeker Release New Song & Music Video Pale Moonlight

A new Dayseeker song has finally arrived!

This has been one of the most anticipated releases I have been waiting for months! Dayseeker is one of my favorite bands ever with what I like to call sad-boycore music and Pale Moonlight is definitely that!

When you first hear the song, it puts you in that trance-like state like you are falling into a dream. I’ve always said this every time I hear Rory sing; it's like hearing an angel, no joke. The way his voice just flows so effortlessly when singing the verses and chorus is just amazing, but then that breakdown comes in that changes the tone of the song slightly and with those unclean vocals are just a perfect way to break up the dreamlike aspect of the song. It proves how much of a talented and versatile artist he is. The music itself is very synth-based to give that ethereal feel to it. Nothing too guitar heavy until we reach the breakdown of course but the bass and drums are the stars in the music.

The accompanying music video for the song is truly like watching a movie. The video was directed by Jensen Noen who is well known for directing videos for bands Motionless in White, Ice Nine Kills, Falling in Reverse, In This Moment, Architects and many more. So if you have seen any of the recent videos by any of those bands then you know you are in for a true cinematic masterpiece.

The video shows Rory going into a dream sequence to see a mysterious woman and showing a theme of how time is very limited during a dream and how quickly reality can catch up to you. From the intimate scenes with the ritual women to the group shots that give you those rave vibes in the middle of the desert but also give you a little private moment between Rory and the lead actress like you are truly dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight..

My good friend L.Quinata and I had the opportunity to be in the video so we did get a little sneak peek of the song and get an idea of what the video was going to be about. We’ve done our fair share of music videos but doing this one was not only fun and an amazing experience but a freezing cold one. Filming a video late at night to the early mornings in the middle of the mountains is not for the faint of heart! It was worth it in the end because we made memories with so many of our friends and also seeing the final product of the video was truly amazing.

I will forever be a fan of Dayseeker and to see the growth this band has received just amazes me every time I see them live. They went from playing those small intimate venues to being able to pack out larger venues and see the cult they have built is truly amazing. Pale Moonlight is a true masterpiece in my eyes and the story behind it will pull at those heart strings!

Check out the video and give Dayseeker all the love and support. I can’t wait for more new music by the band that is expected to be released later this year.
